Outsourcing Staff for Work on Water Grid

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Wednesday permitted to engage 47 senior assistants and 662 work inspectors on outsourcing basis for the proposed water grid.

Orders to this effect were issued by the panchayat raj department.

In another GO, the government accorded sanction for purchase of 26 Innova vehicles for use by engineering officials up to the cadre of superintending engineers, in relaxation of existing rules. However, the ENC, RWS is permitted to purchase only 15 vehicles in the first phase and the remaining vehicles be purchased after sanction of new posts which is under examination, the orders said.

While reviewing the water grid programme, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao assured the officials that new vehicles would be given to the engineers and vacant posts would be filled up for speedy execution of work on restoration of water tanks.
