HYDERABAD:  Telangana Assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary issued notices to two MLAs, who won on Congress ticket but later defected to the TRS.

Four Congress MLAs -- Vital Reddy, Kanakaiah, Redya Naik and K Yadaiah -- have switched loyalties to TRS and the Congress asked the Speaker to initiate action against them. According to sources, Speaker has issued notices to Vital Reddy and Kanakaiah earlier asking them to reply to the notices within a week. The duo asked three months time to reply.

Meanwhile, the Speaker recently issued notices to two other Congress MLAs Redya Naik and K Yadaiah and asked them to reply why action should not be initiated against them for defecting to other party. The Speaker, however, is yet to take any action against the TRS MLAs T Krishna Reddy, Ch Dharma Reddy and T Krishna Yadav who defected to TRS.
