HYDERABAD: Telangana government has sanctioned a pension of Rs 10,000 per month for the widow of cine actor TL Kantha Rao.
Kantha Rao, hero of yesteryears who passed away in 2009.
Responding to a letter from culture department, the Telangana government on Wednesday sanctioned monthly financial assistance of `10,000 to Hymavathi, 80, wife of late Kantha Rao, during her life time from January 2015.
Kantha Rao, a renowned cine actor of five decades, hailed from Kodad in Nalgonda district.
His wife Hymavathi has been suffering from ill-health and her family is financially poor.
