My Home Chief Sues Revanth for Rs 90 cr

HYDERABAD: Telangana Telugu Desam legislator A Revanth Reddy, who has been a vocal critic of the allotment of Hyderabad Metro Rail land to My Home Constructions Pvt Ltd chairman Jupally Rameshwara Rao by the Telangana government, has received  a legal notice from Rao.

It is learnt that Rameshwara Rao had filed a defamation suit for `90 crore against the TDP leader. In his complaint he said the allegations levelled by the TDP leader had cost him his goodwill in the society.

However, Revanth Reddy said that he stood by his statement and would reply to the defamation suit through his lawyer.

Revanth Reddy had alleged that the TRS government favoured  Rameshwara Rao in securing the land that had earlier been allotted for metro rail and the Gaming City project of DLF.

Due to his close association with Rameshwara Rao, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao favoured him by giving him exemption from payment of `26-crore stamp duty just 20 days after coming to power, Revanth Reddy alleged.
