HYDERABAD: At a time when Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao declared that he is keen on transforming Hyderabad into a Global City, some important projects proposed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) a few years ago, are gathering dust in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) department.
As many as nine important projects are pending approval from the government.
The pending projects include Nodal Development at Khanament, development of Hyderabad Habitat Centre at Izzatnagar, Transit Oriented Development within the Hyderabad Development Area, International Standard MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) facilities at Izzatnagar, Inter City Bus Terminal (ICBT) at Miyapur, Logistic Park at Batasingaram and Mangalapally, 13 Urban Nodes and 40 Urban centres, 290 km- long Regional Ring Road as part of Metropolitan Development Plan-2031 and preparation of master plan for Hyderabad Growth Corridor.
The HMDA officials said they are hoping that Chief Minister, who is looking after the Municipal Administration department, will give the green signal to the pending projects soon. Some of these projects have been pending with the state government from more than three years.
