HYDERABAD: TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of going back on his promise of providing 12 per cent reservations to Muslims.

Reddy spoke at the Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee(GHCC) meeting at Jubilee Hills here on Sunday. Apart from Jubilee Hills, the GHCC meeting was also held at Quthbullapur, Sanath Nagar, Amberpet and Uppal constituencies to chalk out the strategies for the upcoming GHMC polls.

At the meeting, the TPCC chief accused the TRS government of carrying out the delimitation of wards in such manner that it will eventually benefit the ruling party. He alleged that the TRS leadership is warming up to the Seemandhra people in Hyderabad only to gain an upper hand in the civic body polls. The Congress has made significant contribution to Hyderabad in making it a world-class city, he added.

He said that the TRS party leaders are hoodwinking people regarding the construction of two BHK houses for the poor, and urged people to support Congress in the GHMC polls.
