HYDERABAD: Wondering what was the difference between terrorists and police, MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday termed the killing of five suspected ultras by the police a clear case of ‘murder’ and ‘revenge killing’ and put the blame for the same squarely on the shoulders of the TRS government.
He demanded an independent enquiry by a sitting high court judge. “The story being floated around by the police will not be believed by anyone. How can the police be trigger-happy?’’ he questioned. Speaking exclusively to Express, he said though the recent killing of policemen by SIMI activists was condemnable, Tuesday’s encounter too was deplorable.

“The Telangana police has shown that if terrorists kill three policemen, they will kill five. What is the point of having courts then? There is a difference between a terrorist and an upholder of law,’’ he observed. Stating that the police has no right to kill, he wondered what message was the Telangana police sending through such ‘murders.’
