HYDERABAD:  Describing TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy as an ‘instrument’ in the hands of party president N Chandrababu Naidu, a host of Telangana State ministers on Monday demanded that the AP Chief Minister be made accused no. 1 in the cash-for-vote scandal.

Speaking to reporters here, ministers E Rajender, G Jagadish Reddy and Jogu Ramanna demanded that the Speaker disqualify Revanth Reddy from the Assembly and alleged Naidu was the main conspirator in the case. “This is the first time in the democratic history of the country that cash bags were directly carried to lure leaders of other parties,” Rajender said.

“Naidu is the main conspirator and Revanth Reddy is an instrument,” he alleged and said the TDP chief had earlier did real estate business around the Hi-tec City in Hyderabad in the past and was doing the same now around the new AP capital Amaravathi.

Another minister Jogu Ramanna demanded that the BJP, which claims to believe in honest politics, should snap ties with the TDP. Ramanna warned TDP leader E Dayakar Rao not to sling mud at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s family by taking money from Naidu.
