HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that all the vacant posts in TSGenco, TSTransco and Discoms would be filled soon.
Telangana electricity engineers took out a rally on Saturday as part of State formation day celebrations. Later, they called on the chief minister at his camp office.
Speaking to them, Rao complimented the power staff for providing uninterrupted power supply during summer.
“We have purchased power this season. There is no need to purchase power from next year onwards. The state will become power surplus in future,” Rao told the engineers.
The chief minister said that once the state become power surplus, the power utilities would earn profits. Rao said all types of power plants in the State would be set up under Genco only in the future.
He directed Genco CMD Prabhakar Rao to send proposals to fill vacant posts in the power sector.
Employees leaders Sudhkar Rao, Sampath Rao, Ratnakar and Vijayalakshmi were among those who called on the chief minister.
