More TDP Leaders to Get Telangana ACB Notice

HYDERABAD: A day after two TDP leaders were served notices by the Telangana State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the cash for votes scam, it is likely that some more notices may be served to a few TDP leaders, whose numbers figured in the call data of TRS leader Elvis Stephenson, the original complainant in the case.

Yesterday, the two TDP leaders S Venkata Veeraiah and V Narender Reddy were summoned by the ACB for questioning in the cash for votes scam. ''More notices will be served today,'' sources told Express.

Meanwhile, Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma, ACB chief AK Khan and Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahendar Reddy met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here. The meeting assumes significance as Telangana ACB is said to be planning to issue notice to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the cash-for-vote scam.

On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is meeting here to discuss and formulate its action plan on how to counter the moves of the Telangana government with regard to cash-for-vote scandal.
