KTR, Harish Not on Good Terms: Revanth

TDP leader claims insecurity forcing TRS to engineer defections;says party will take a call on supporting Harish if the need arises

HYDERABAD: In a rather sensational allegation, TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday claimed that Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao were ‘not on good terms’ and cited it as the reason for the ‘Operation Aakarshan’ of the ruling TRS.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat, Revanth said, “Terms between Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his nephew Harish Rao are good. But there are differences between Harish Rao and CM’s son KT Rama Rao. That is why the TRS is luring MLAs from other parties.’’

Recalling speculative reports of 2009, the TDP leader said Harish Rao had considered joining the Congress during the YSR regime. “Finance Minister E Rajender mentioned it to me in Assembly lobbies in 2009 itself,” he said, adding that Rajender may deny it now.

Referring to rumours that Harish Rao may topple the KCR government with the help of the Congress, Revanth almost offered his party’s support to the Irrigation Minister “if he decided to end the tyranny of the KCR government and sought our help.” However, he hastened to add that in such an eventuality, his party will discuss it at its politburo meeting and take a call.

Revanth further ‘cautioned’ ministers Talasani Srinivasa Yadav and Tummala Nageswara Rao to be wary of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. “A Narendra and Vijayasanthi were disrespected by Chandrasekhar Rao. He will mete out the same treatment to Talasani and Tummala in the near future,” he predicted, adding KCR was encouraging Talasani for his own reasons and would discard him after his purpose was served.

Not stopping at that, he said there were “petty thieves to big looters” in the ruling TRS and advised Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahender Reddy to call them to Cherlapally or Chanchalguda jail and counsel them. “There is no need for Mahender Reddy to go to Nagarjuna Sagar to take a class for TRS leaders,” Revanth remarked sarcastically.

Earlier, Revanth called on Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and informed him of the high court’s ruling against Parliamentary Secretaries. He urged Sharma to withdraw their cabinet rank.

Revanth has No Right to Talk about kcr, ktr & harish, says balaraj

Refuting the allegations by TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy about differences between ministers KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, TRS MLA Guvvala Balaraj said: “Revanth Reddy is a vile person and has no right to talk about either KCR, KTR or Harish.” Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat here Tuesday, Balaraj alleged that Revanth Reddy had splashed posters of himself at the NTR Bhavan seeking the position of the president of Telangana TDP. Revanth Reddy has even tried to topple E Dayakar Rao as the floor leader in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, he alleged. “Such a leader has no right to speak against the TRS leaders,” he said. The aim of the TRS party is to achieve Bangaru Telangana and the party leaders are not power mongers, he asserted.
