Rahul's Visit Postponed to May 14

HYDERABAD:AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Telangana has been postponed.

Rahul was scheduled to visit Nirmal in Adilabad district for two days starting May 11, but it has been postponed in view of the extended Parliament session.

Telangana PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said Rahul would now conduct the Rythu Bharosa Padyatra on May 14 and 15, instead of May 11 and 12. Except for the change in dates, there would be no change in the programme schedule, he said.

“Rahul’s presence in Parliament is required in view of debate on Land Acquisition Bill in the House. Therefore, his office has intimated us about the postponement of his tour,” said Reddy.

Meanwhile, Reddy along with Leader of Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others visited Nizamabad and Adilabad districts on Friday to review the arrangements for Rahul’s visit.
