HYDERABAD: IT Minister KT Rama Rao, who is in the US to attract investments to the State, had to brave rough weather during his journey from Dallas to San Francisco to be on time for a meeting with the Telangana diaspora. KTR had reached Dallas after an interaction with industry representatives and NRIs. However, due to heavy snowfall, all flight services from Dallas were cancelled, an official release said.
Though local officials and NRIs urged Rama Rao to cancel his Tuesday meeting with the Telangana diaspora in San Francisco, he and his four-member team decided to press ahead despite adverse weather conditions. They went by road to Austin in heavy snowfall and from there, they will fly to San Francisco.
Earlier, Rama Rao met NRIs and Telangana TRS followers in Dallas. Speaking at Vibrant Hyderabad-CEO Connect programme, Rama Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was considering Dallas as a role model for development of Hyderabad and chalked out plans to develop the State capital accordingly.
