KARIMNAGAR:Boinpally mandal CPI leaders along with the project oustees staged a protest here over the delay of Mid-Manair irrigation project on Monday.
CPI state secretary Chada Venkata Reddy launched a hunger strike to bring pressure on the government for distribution of ex gratia. Earlier, the oustees took out a rally from Manwada village.
Speaking on the occasion, the CPI leader said that the CM had promised that all the problems of the oustees and the project will be cleared within two months. But nothing has happened so far, he added.
The project cost had also increased along with the delay, he said adding that the project was supposed to be completed by June but several works are still pending.
