HYDERABAD: Buoyed by the success of his recent two-week visit to the US, IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao will be visiting HongKong and Taiwan from June 3 to 6 to attract more investments. The State government is planning to provide employment even to SSC and Intermediate pass candidates in the IT field. As part of this, the government is luring mobile manufacturing units to the State. Representatives of Micromax will soon come to Hyderabad and inspect lands proposed to be allotted to them.
The State cannot ask IT companies like Google to provide employment exclusively for Telangana youths, KTR pointed out. “I have met 31 top IT executives. We have been able to establish direct contact with IT giants. Assurances for direct investment of `3,000 crore were received during my recent US trip. I will tour in HongKong and Taiwan from June 3 to 6. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao too will visit a couple of countries seeking investments to Telangana, after the launch of TS-iPASS, the new industrial policy of the State on June 12,” he said.
