Cricket Training through Smartphones

KARIMNAGAR:To help young cricketers learn the game speedily, Karimnagar District Cricket Association (KDCA), an affiliated body of Hyderabad Cricket Association, has begun making video footage of the learners using smartphones during their practice sessions at ongoing cricket coaching camp for the last one month here and other towns.

After completing each practice session, by showing the respective aspirant’s visuals the coaches explain the mistakes of the learner as the video helps to identify the defects. This method of learning is attracting good response from the learners.

The KDCA has begun a summer coaching camp for young aspirants in Karimnagar, Jagitial, Sircilla, Huzurabad, Godavarikhani and 8 Incline Colony in Kamanpur about a month ago. Nearly 650 young cricketers are attending this free summer cricket camp to learn cricket. KDCA JS N Muralidhar Rao said, young aspirants are showing keen interest on cricket and for their benefit, three coaches are appointed for each centre.
