Mission Kakatiya Pylon Awaits Unveiling in Warangal

WARANGAL:Even as the officials state that the renovation of the tanks, under the Mission Kakatiya programme, are said to be going at a brisk pace, the pylon erected here as a part of the programme is yet to unveiled.

The Pylon was constructed on the premises of Irrigation and Command Area Development (I&CAD) office in Hanamkonda at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. According to official sources, the state government wanted the pylon to be inaugurated by Union Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharti.

But neither of the programmes materialised. The officials wanted Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to unveil the pylon in the second week of February before the works were launched. But the Chief Minister instead launched the works in Nizamabad district in March in accordance with the MLC election code at that time. Consequently, the pylon was left unveiled.
