Subsidy for Support Schemes Hiked

HYDERABAD:The subsidy for economic support schemes by the Telangana State Scheduled Tribes Cooperative Finance Limited (TRICOR) has been enhanced.The present subsidy of 60 per cent is increased to 80 per cent per unit up to Rs  one lakh. If the unit cost is between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, the subsidy would be 70 per cent. If the unit cost is between Rs 2 lakh and 10 lakh, the government will give 60 per cent subsidy of the unit cost or Rs  5 lakh, whichever is less.

TRICOR will also adopt the revised income criteria. Accordingly, the income eligibility criteria will be Rs 1.5 lakh per annum for rural areas and Rs 2 lakh per annum for urban areas on par with other welfare schemes of the state government i.e., Aasara, Shaadi Mubarak and KalyanaLaxmi schemes.

The Commissioner of Tribal Welfare and ex-officio managing director, TRICOR,  has submitted the action plan for implementing economic support schemes for the benefit of the tribal community for a budget outlay of Rs 75 crore covering 5,606 ST beneficiaries.
