Opposition Gears Up for October 10 Bandh

HYDERABAD: With just two days to go for the state-wide bandh protesting against the government’s failure to waive off crop loans, the opposition parties Congress, TDP and BJP on Thursday held another round of talks to ensure that the bandh would be  a success.

TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy met his party leaders from Rangareddy districts and Hyderabad city on Thursday morning to chalk out plans for making the bandh a success. It was decided that a rally would be taken from Charminar to Gowliguda bus stand where they would stage a dharna and stop buses from plying. Uttam Kumar Reddy will participate in the dharna.

All the senior leaders will stage similar dharnas. Leader of opposition K Jana Reddy will stage dharna at Mahatma gandhi bus station while other leaders like Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Danam Nagender, Shabbir Ali will lay siege to other bus depots. Uttam Kumar Reddy later held a meeting with TTDP leaders L Ramana, BJP MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and others in the Assembly premises where they chalked out their plan of action.
