HYDERABAD: The state government has achieved 90 per cent of the target in revenue and tax collections proposed in the 2015-16 budget till September 30.
Finance department officials have stated that the state achieved 93 per cent target in the first four months and 90 per cent after the close of the first six months. Meanwhile, officials have intensified the efforts to achieve the revenue targets as the state government planned several new schemes and programmes.
Special chief secretary (finance) K Pradeep Chandra conducted a day-long session with staff of revenue-earning departments on improving revenue collections. Secretaries and senior officials of all departments attended the meeting. Pradeep Chandra asked them to prepare a month-wise income and expenditure statement of each department.
