HYDERABAD: Lambasting the ruling BJP and right wing organisations like RSS for imposing their ideology forcibly, Revolutionary Writers Association (RWA) leader P Varavara Rao said that fascist forces are growing bold under Narendra Modi regime.

“Fascist and Right Wing forces have grown bold under Narendra Modi’s rule and are trying to dominance all spheres of life. Propagating beef ban and attacking those who eat beef is a clear ploy to orchestrate hatred and violence against non-Hindu communities and those opposed to Hindu ideology,” said Varavara Rao after launching a pamphlet titled ‘beef ban propaganda by Modi in the name of cow’ here on Wednesday.

What right does the Government have to dictate what people should eat? Many people have been eating beef for generations, but why the BJP government is finding fault with it suddenly? Intellectuals, writers and people from all sections have to recognise the conspiracy behind BJP’s strategy and get united to prevent it, stressed Varavara Rao.

The pamphlet on ‘beef ban’ has been brought out by RWA. The pamphlet focuses on the need to oppose the attacks on food habits and writers under BJP rule. Revolutionary writers from all parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh met in Hyderabad to discuss the campaign to be taken up to create awareness about the designs of right wing organisations to saffronise the nation. There is an urgent need to create awareness about the BJP Government’s steps to intrude into people’s lives.

Besides resorting to violence and oppression in the name of culture, right wing forces are trying to bring legitimacy for their acts by earning the support from majority. This will not stop with the murder of Kalburgi or ban on beef, as BJP is trying to distort even history, science, food habits, dressing, among others, stated P Varalakshmi, secretary of RWA.
