NIZAMABAD:Nizamabad MP K Kavitha thanked women of the State, who made the week-long Bathukamma festival, a success.
“By celebrating the festival with grandeur, women proved they are committed to play a key role in the reconstruction of Telangana into Bangaru Telangana,” she said.
She arrived at Nizamabad on Wednesday after celebrating the festival with the Telegu diaspora across the world. A large number of TRS leaders and people’s representatives organised a grand reception for her at Indalwai and escorted her to her residence in Maruthi Nagar.
Speaking to reporters, she said Telangana Jagruthi did not take a single rupee from the government to organise the festival. “We have been organising the programme for several years without taking any help from the government,” she added.
She added that TS women understood, how Jagruthi organised the festival.
