KTR Promises House for All Homeless in Sircilla Within 4 Years

KARIMNAGAR:IT and panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao has laid foundation stones for double bedroom houses in Ghambhiraopet and Mustabad mandals, in the district on Thursday.

He assured that all homeless people in Sircilla constituency will get houses in the next four years.

“Eight thousand houses will be constructed for people below the poverty line (BPL). In the first year, 60,000 houses and in the second year, one lakh houses will be build State-wide,” the minister announced.

“Governments in United AP just aided supplicants with a sum of Rs 70,000 for the construction of houses, we on the other hand are constructing each house with Rs 5.04 lakh”, KTR said.

The minister added that irregularities in the Indiramma scheme will be probed and those who have corrupted the system will be punished.

Later, the panchayat raj minister laid the foundation stones for various road works.

In-charge collector Pousumi Basu, housing corporation project director Narsinga Rao and other officials were present.

Meanwhile, MP Vinod Kumar laid a foundation stone for the double bedroom housing scheme along with MLA Gangula Kamalakar at Sapthagiri colony in Karimnagar city.
