KHAMMAM: Lovers made an attempt to kill themselves by consuming pesticide at Yellandu on Monday as their parents refused to perform their marriage. The condition of the victims is said to be stable.
According to sources, A Vijaya Kumar (19) and B Tejaswani (18) of Repallewada village are students of a private college in Yellandu and have been in love for the last two years. They requested their parents to perform their marriage. But as they parents did not agree, the depressed couple consumed pesticide. Locals who noticed them shifted to district headquarters hospital in Khammam.
