HYDERABAD: The state government has decided to engage the services of MSTC, a public sector undertaking and Navaratna company, to e-auction government lands. The government issued orders to this effect on Friday permitting the vice-chairman and managing director of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation for appointment of MSTC as service provider for sale of land parcels through e-auction in the state.
The government has decided to dispose of government land parcels which are not required for any public purpose and cannot be kept idle located in various prime areas of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts. These lands will be auctioned.
The government set a target of earning Rs 13,500 crore through the sale of government lands in the state in the current year.
