'Centre Ready to Help but TRS is not Keen'

HYDERABAD:  Though the Centre is ready to help Telangana develop on all fronts, the state government is not  sending proposals to get projects for the state, Union commerce minister Nirmala Sitharaman has alleged.

Speaking at a function organised to felicitate newly-appointed president of state BJP K Laxman here on Friday, Sitharaman said the Centre on its own had sanctioned establishment of six SEZs in and around Hyderabad. According to her, the Centre has sanctioned a Pharma hub which will generate about 3.5 lakh jobs and an integrated container depot. “The Centre had prepared a detailed project report (DPR) on its own and sanctioned the project. This is the commitment of the NDA,” she said. Union MoS JP Nadda said since BJP was in power at the Centre, the state leadership should take advantage of it and strengthen the party in the state.
