State BJP gears up for Modi's visit, seeks to fill political vaccum

NIZAMABAD:The BJP district committee is utilising the chance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first visit to the state, scheduled on August 7, by activating its ground-level committees to strengthen the party to take up several programmes in the coming days.

Following directions from the state BJP district committee, party leaders directed its polling booth-level committees to extend party workers’ meeting, which would be addressed by Modi in Hyderabad on August 7.

Nizamabad district has 2,090 polling booths, out of which the BJP has 1,000 polling booths, with the slogan ‘Ten youth for one booth’. Only five members from each booth are invited to the meeting. The district committee will issue passes to the invitees.

A delegation of the BJP district committee, under the leadership of the its district president P Gangareddy, is touring all the nine Assembly constituencies.

The team was explaining to party workers about the importance of the Prime Minister’s state visit and strengthening BJP with a view to fill up political vacuum in the backdrop of all the opposition parties failing to discharge their duties.

BJP leaders explained to party cadre that in the coming days the BJP would take up several serious agitation programmes, mainly focusing on its ideology and philosophy.

“We have decided to organise statewide protests by demanding that the state government celebrate September 17 as an important occasion as on this day Hyderabad state was liberated from Nizam’s rule,” Gangareddy explained.

He said that the celebration on September 17 will not be a routine affair and on that day, the party will show how the people of the state are emotionally connected to the issue.

He added that Modi meeting is one of the warm up exercise to regenerate Louts Force at polling booth level in the district. Meanwhile, former MLA Yendala Laxminarayana will also tour several districts in the state address district level and Assembly constituency level meetings to make Modi’s visit a success.

Addressing Nizamabad district-level meeting held here on Saturday, BJP Legislative Party Deputy Leader Ch Ramachandra Reddy said that the BJP was working with 56 organisations, which have the same ideology.

“All these preparations would help the party face 2018 local body elections and finally achieve power in the 2019 Assembly elections,” Ch Ramachandra Reddy elaborated.
