TS Judges stir: CJI assures to intervene

HYDERABAD: Chief Justice of India TS Thakur has assured members of the Telangana advocates’ community that he will talk to the Union law minister and see that their issues/demands are sorted out, provided the latter call off their agitation.

“We do not want to act under any pressure or coercion. It will not be proper to interfere during the strike period. We will see that the problem is sorted out. Will talk to the law minister and see that the issues are sorted out if the strike is withdrawn”, he is understood to have told them who met him at his residence in Delhi on Sunday.

The delegation comprised Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee convener M Rajender Reddy, Telangana High Court Advocates Association president G Mohan Rao, Federation of Bar Associations president G Jithender Reddy and others. The delegation told the CJI that a decision on the issue of withdrawal of strike had to be taken collectively.
