'TS, AP should discuss water sharing'

NALGONDA: BJP state president Dr K Lakshman stated that Krishna River Management Board disputes will be cleared only after discussions are taken by chief ministers of both Telugu states.

A public meeting to be addressed by BJP national president Amit Shah has been arranged on June 10 at the indoor stadium in Suryapet.

In this regard, Lakshman had come down to Suryapet on Wednesday to inspect the arrangements. Addressing the media, Lakshman said, “On an invitation of Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao attended the foundation laying ceremony of Amaravati. Similarly, Chandrababu Naidu too attended the Chandiyagam performed by KCR. In the same way, both CMs should meet and discuss the distribution of Krishna water.”

“In the coming days, both the Congress and TDP will draw a blank in Telangana State. Only BJP can be an alternate to the TRS government. The BJP is taking steps to strengthen the party before 2019 elections,” he said.
