KARIMNAGAR: In an attempt to minimise stress levels among police personnel, the district police administration will grant the option of weekly off to constables and officers up to post of circle inspector. There are about 4,000 constables and officers working in the district.
Announcing this on Tuesday after a special meeting with police officers, SP D Joel Davis said, “For the first time in police department the weekly off system will be introduced in Karimnagar district just like non-uniform government employees.”
“Every one needs mental relaxation to continue their daily chores. In the police department, officers are on duty round the year leading to increase in stress levels.
Many police personnel also stay away from their families. These were the reasons behind which we have introduced the weekly off system for Karimnagar police,” Davis said.
