Woman Among 4 in Soup for Assaulting Cops

HYDERABAD: Four persons including a woman, who assaulted policemen in an inebriated state and damaged furniture in a police station, were detained by the police. The incident took place in KPHB police station limits. Police issued notices to all the four to appear before them in connection with the cases. KPHB inspector Srikanth Goud said that some youngsters including awoman were creating nuisance on a premises after getting drunk on Sunday. The neighbours called 100 to inform about the matter. KPHB patrolling police visited the premises based on the complaint and took two persons Sriya and her alleged boyfriend Tarun into custody.

“Minutes after the two were shifted to the police station, two of their friends Shiva and Koushik came to the station in an inebriated state and started arguing with the police alleging that they detained their friends illegally. During the arguments, all the four accused assaulted policemen and damaged furniture in the police station,” the inspector said.

Based on the complaint, police registered case against all the four under various sections and took up probe.
