5 Men Break Open ATMs, Decamp with Rs 62,000

SANGAREDDY: In two separate incidents, 5 unidentified persons broke open two ATM machines with a gas cutter in Medak and away with around Rs 62,000 cash on Tuesday night. The first incident took place at an Indicash ATM machine on X Road at Shivampet village in the district at 10 pm, where unknown persons looted Rs 60,000. In another incident, unidentified persons tried to break open the Indicash ATM at Nizampet, when security guard Laxmi Narayana thwarted their attempt, and was injured in the process. However, the miscreants managed to loot Rs 2,000. Narayana’s bravery saved Rs 3.6 lakh at the ATM, as per sources.
