Eight Electrocuted as Live Wire Falls on Bus

SANGAREDDY: Tragedy struck a marriage party in Medak as a high-tension power line snapped and fell on the truck they were travelling on Sunday evening.

According to sources, eight persons were electrocuted while 20 persons suffered burn injuries in the mishap that occurred at Devulanaik Thanda in Kangti police limits. The deceased were identified as Dhan Raj, Vinod, Ramulu, Kisu Bi, Ashok Yadav, Srinu and Love. All were residents of Ramsingh Naik Thanda. According to police, the condition of six persons undergoing treatment is serious.

The victims were returning to their village after attending a marriage function in Sangareddy on Sunday. After the function, they boarded a truck to return to their native. As the truck reached Devulanaik Thanda, the truck came in contact with a high tension wire which got snapped and was dangling in the air at a height of four metres from ground-level.
