Fearing failure in TET, Tandur woman hangs self

A 20-year-old woman, who appeared for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on Sunday, hanged to death.

HYDERABAD:  A 20-year-old woman, who appeared for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on Sunday, hanged to death fearing that she would not qualify in the test held for recruitment of school teachers in the state.  The incident took place near Bhadrappa temple in Tandur town police limits on Monday. The deceased was identified as Swetha. Tandur police said Swetha was disappointed after going through the key of TET that was published after the examination. She feared that she would not qualify, went to her room and committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling.  Police found a suicide note in which she stated that though she had prepared well, she could not perform well in the exam. She held no one responsible for her death.  The police shifted the body to government mortuary.
