HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India issued notification on Tuesday for the biennial elections to the four Rajya Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh and two in Telangana.
The last date for filing of nominations is May 31 and the scrutiny will take place on June 1. If necessary, election will be held on June 11 from 9 am to 4 pm. and the results will be declared on the same day. The terms of Nirmala Sitharaman, JD Seelam, Jairam Ramesh and Y Sujana Chowdhary in AP and G Sudha Rani and V. Hanumantha Rao in Telangana will expire on June 21.
