Amit Shah coming today, has big plans for Telangana

Buoyed by the success of BJP in the Assam poll, BJP leadership in Telangana is hoping to repeat the same here.

HYDERABAD: Buoyed by the success of BJP in the recent Assembly polls, especially Assam, BJP leadership in Telangana is hoping to repeat the same here. In a bid to revamp the party in the state, BJP national president Amit Shah is arriving in Hyderabad on Sunday.

He would address the functionaries from mandal level as part of the BJP's outreach programme on the occasion of NDA government completing two years in office.

"Amit Shah wanted to visit Hyderabad on the occasion of Modi's government completing two years in office. But we planned to use his visit to revamp and energise BJP cadre. Even BJP national leadership is particular about making giant strides in Telangana and our national president immediately agreed to address the party workers," MLC and senior BJP leader N Ramachandra Rao said.

BJP national leadership has been focusing on strengthening and developing the party in Telanagana, keeping an eye on 2019 elections.

"BJP government at the Centre has come up with many useful schemes like 'Make in India', Start Up India, Digital India, Mudra loans, PM Suraksha Yojana, among others. BJP won in the recent Assembly elections as people were impressed with BJP government at the Centre.  If we can succeed in explaining the good work done by BJP government to people, then the party will come to power in Telangana in the next general elections. Our president Amit Shah will guide us in this regard,"  Telangana BJP president K Laxman said. In spite of poor performance in the recently held GHMC and byelections in the state, state BJP leadership is expressing confidence of putting up a good show in the future.

Senior leader K Laxman took over  as state BJP president very recently. In this backdrop, visit of Amit Shah to Hyderabad assumed significance among party leaders and cadre. Besides addressing party workers on Sunday, Amit Shah will also address a public meeting in June in Telangana.
