We have given India a speaking PM: Shah

HYDERABAD: The BJP government has put an end to the policy paralysis created by UPA government in its 10 year rule and has given the nation a corruption-free and decisive government, said party president Amit Shah on Sunday.

Shah was in the city on Sunday as part of the ‘Vikas Parv’ being held on the occasion of BJP government two years at centre.

“Corruption to the tune of Rs 12 lakh crore was committed during UPA’s rule, probably the largest in scale by any government in the world. Also, governance suffered due to policy paralysis and indecision. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought governance and economy back on track in its two years at the Centre and today, the world is looking towards India,” said Shah.

“One new initiative has been introduced for every fifteen days by BJP government at the Centre. Modi has introduced schemes like PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Gram Sadak Yojana, Mudra loans, Ujwal Yojana for providing free LPG connections to poor women, among others. Schemes introduced by the Centre will touch very Indian’s life. If BJP workers can take these schemes to people then, the coming days will belong to BJP,” added Shah, addressing the party workers. Explaining the various schemes and achievements of the party, Shah missed no opportunity to take potshots at Congress.

“Congress leaders ask us what has BJP given to the nation in two years of its rule. We have given a speaking Prime Minister. Modi speaks on every issue and addresses the problems. The only place former PM Manmohan Singh used to speak was at 10 Janpath,” said Shah. As Amit Shah visited Hyderabad, in the wake of victory of BJP in recent Assembly polls, BJP state unit leaders were gung ho about his visits.

“From just five MLAs, BJP rose to the level of assuming power in Assam under the leadership of Modi and Amit Shah.

Even in Kerala, BJP got 15 per cent of the votes for the first time. Same will be repeated in Telangana. Right now there are five MLAs in Telangana, we are the ‘pancha pandavulam’. From five we will become seventy and assume power in Telangana in 2019,” said BJP Telangana president K Laxman.

Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya, Hansraj Gangaram, among others were present on the occasion.
