Another SI hangs himself in Telangana, investigation on

NALGONDA: Yet another sub-inspector of police, this time a trainee SI, ended his life in Telangana state. This is the third suicide of a SI from a Telangana district.

The trainee sub-inspector at Miryalguda town committed suicide by hanging himself on Thursday. According to the police, the trainee SI has been identified as A Kiran (28) of Miryalaguda town.  He got selected for sub-inspector post in 2014 batch. During his training, he injured and fractured his leg. He went on leave for three months and has not completed his training.

After recovery of his health, Kiran reportedly urged Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (APPA) Director Ish Kumar to allow him for training and provide posting to him.

However, the APPA authorities reportedly rejected his request and asked him to come for training along with the 2016 batch SI candidates. Allegedly depressed over losing one year of his career, Kiran took the extreme step, family members alleged.

Though police are tight-lipped over a complaint being lodged, it is learnt that the brother of the deceased, Arjun, lodged a complaint with the Miryaliaguda Rural police alleging that APPA Director Ish kumar is the cause of his brother’s suicide.

Earlier, the SI of Kukunoorpally in Medak and the SI of Kerameri in Adilabad killed themselves.
