MANCHERIAL: TJAC chief M Kodandaram had demanded the state government to find solutions to accommodate dependents of Singerani Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in the company on compensatory grounds.

The TJAC chief, who came to extend solidarity to the agitating SCCL employees’ dependents at CCC township in Naspur village here on Monday, said since the High Court had struck down the GO brought by the state government to accommodate SCCL dependents, the government should find alternative ways to take them in to the company.

“Families of dependents are waiting for jobs for years. The government should take steps to accommodate them in the company and do justice to them,” he said. He alleged that the government issued a GO without a proper exercise, following which it was struck down by the court.

He said TJAC for fight for the rights of dependents. He explained the workers about the GOs which was released by the government and its loopholes and how it was scrapped in the courts. Union leaders and workers participated in the meeting.
