Governor ESL Narasimhan to undergo surgery for corn in sole

Governor ESL Narasimhan will undergo surgery for removal of corn in the sole at the government-run Gandhi Hospital.

HYDERABAD: Governor ESL Narasimhan will undergo surgery for removal of corn in the sole at the government-run Gandhi Hospital. When he visited the hospital on Wednesday to seek medical advice for the problem, he was examined by Dr. NVN Reddy, head of the dermatology department, and Dr A Subodh  Kumar, head of plastic surgery department, in the presence of Dr. T Solomon, RMO-Administrator.

“Appointment for the surgery will be given to the governor according to his convenience. Some preliminary investigation will be conducted before the surgery,” said Dr. P Shravan Kumar, superintendent of Gandhi Hospital. It is learned that bed rest for a week will be needed after the surgery.
After enquiring if the hospital needed one more MRI unit to cater to the overwhelming demand from patients seeking treatment, he assured that he would advise the government to sanction it for the hospital. Right now, the hospital has only one MRI unit.

When the governor had visited the hospital 12 days ago to inaugurate 65-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he said he had undergone a surgery there earlier.
