HYDERABAD: Members of the All India Lawyers Union (AILU) on Monday staged a lunch hour demonstration in front of the High Court protesting against the Advocates Act (Amendment) Bill, 2017. They termed the above Bill as draconian and against the freedom of the legal profession and strongly opposed the entry of foreign law firms and lawyers.
While demanding the immediate withdrawal of the Bill, they burnt the copies of the Law commission recommendations, which was the basis for bringing out the Bill.
