HYDERABAD: A division bench of Hyderabad HC on Tuesday refused to intervene in a PIL case filed complaining that municipal authorities were trying to convert a playground into a park in city. “What is wrong if a park is set up in the vacant land belonging to the government at Bharath Nagar colony?” the bench asked the petitioner.

The government counsel told the court that the playground was being used by students belonging to a private school. Taking this into consideration, the bench refused to intervene in the case. The bench felt that private schools which have been collecting fees has to provide playgrounds for its students.
