HYDERABAD: There is a reason why e-commerce sites lure customers with offers and discounts. But, can you believe even websites selling psychotropic substances on the darknet offer discounts on particular days, making the user eagerly wait for that particular day and, in the process, visit the site daily.
Sleuths of the state prohibition and excise department, who interrogated the arrested persons involved in the supply and peddling of LSD in the city, were surprised to know that even narcotic drugs are sold at discounted prices on some days.
Kingpins of the trade, who use deep dark websites to buy drugs by placing orders online, keep a constant eye on some websites where drugs are sold to know if there are any discounts. In fact, one of the drugs suppliers, who is in custody, told officials that he ran into one such discount on MDMA drug which was sold online.
There are three darknet websites which are known for selling psychotropic substances at discounted prices. HANSA Market, Dream Market and Silkroad are the three websites which are popular with the drug peddlers here. In fact, the websites are well known to those who use darknet markets. But one can’t simply access these websites. They have to use a form of private network and ‘Tor browser’. “After placing the order, a mobile application is used to pay for the consignment. And the consignment reaches their residence by post or courier,” said an excise official.

Mozilla Firefox and Chrome do not help in browsing the darknet websites. One needs to install another browser to access websites in deep dark web where drugs are sold.
