CPM, student bodies oppose ‘pink’ school

The village was a stronghold of CPM earlier, but recently most of its leaders joined TRS.

NALGONDA: Local political disputes entered Government Primary School creating tension and causing disruption in education at Cheruvu Annaram village in Kattangoor mandal.

The building of Government Primary school with a current strength of 120 students was constructed long back. On several requests by education officials and local people’s representatives, the government sanctioned Rs 3 lakh for renovation and beautification of the school. After renovation works, the school management committee chairman, Sarpanch and other parents’ committee members decided to beautify the school and painted the building in pink.

The village was a stronghold of CPM earlier, but recently most of its leaders joined TRS.  Ever since ,everything is turning into a problem everyday in the village. The painting of school building in pink, the ruling TRS colour, three days ago again ignited trouble.
