Family requests MEA to bring back Telangana man’s body from Saudi Arabia

The family of a man from Medak district who died of heart attack in Riyadh  has appealed to External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to ensure that his body is sent to his native place.

HYDERABAD:  The family of a man from Medak district who died of heart attack in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he worked as a cleaner has appealed to External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to ensure that his body is sent to his native place.

The deceased, Markill Pochiah had left for Saudi Arabia for employment three-and-a-half years ago leaving behind his wife and children at his village, Haveli Ghanpur. Pochiah’s wife Markill Vijaya Laxmi said, “On June 3, I received news about his death. Since then, I have been calling his firm officials asking them to transport his body home. They keep on delaying it.”


“Today, with the help of my husband’s friend we approached Majlis Bachao Tehreek spokesperson for help. I have been told that a letter with my appeal has been sent to Sushma Swaraj,” she added.
