WARANGAL: Doctors of MGM hospital in Warangal would soon be in a position to get experts’ advice and opinion online across the globe. Thanks to the initiative taken by Warangal urban collector Amrapali Kata, who launched ‘MGM Hospital Forum’ application on the occasion of state formation day.
MGM and Kakatiya Medical College(KMC) alumni working across the world would be offering free online consultancy to MGM doctors on various aliments and surgeries.
“This would help doctors in getting advice to treat a disease. This would ultimately help the patients in getting best treatment,” Amrapali said.
There are occasions when doctors need expert’s opinion to treat a disease or to perform surgeries and such online consultancy facility would help them in overcoming hurdles, the collector said.
Apart from consultancy, the application would also be helpful to medical students of KMC as they could attend lectures by well known specialists across the globe through their smartphones sitting anywhere, she informed. “This facility would help in enhancing the knowledge of a medical students. They could listen to experts in various fields by just downloading the app,” she said.
According to her, MGM Hospital Forum is a comprehensive application for KMC and MGM hospital that has four components- Tele teaching, tele consultancy, News board and crowd funding. Whereas, “Fund your Warangal” is a crowd funding application that provides a platform for donors to contribute to various projects undertaken by the district administration. This application would run on Windows, Android and iOS. Both applications has been designed by Reliance Foundation and Suhrud Applab.
