HYDERABAD: Going ballistic at the Congress, IT minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday alleged that the party leaders from Delhi to galli were working with a single point agenda of casting baseless aspersions on TS government.“Whether it is drugs case or alleged police detaining of youth belonging to Nerella in Rajanna-Sircilla district or any other thing, Congress leaders like Digvijaya Singh, Jairam Ramesh and TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy have been into the practice of resorting to mud-slinging at the state government,” he criticised, while addressing media persons here.

He rejected allegations made by Jairam Ramesh that TS government had purchased Toyota SUVs for the police department from the franchise of NDA vice presidential candidate M Venkaiah Naidu’s son in Hyderabad without following procedures. On the allegation that government gave tax exemption of `2 crores to Swarna Bharat Trust, KTR said the tax exemptions to NGOs was not new.

‘Sensationalising drug case to divert attention from Miyapur land scam’
Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy alleged that TS government was sensationalising drugs case in order to divert people’s attention from Miyapur land scam. After staging dharna at ministers’ quarters, he submitted a memorandum to Home minister N Narsimha Reddy seeking action against Goldstone Prasad, who is facing allegations in Miyapur land scam.
