Even nine months after appearing for the mains examination for sub-inspector (civil) recruitment, 32,000 candidates are still clueless regarding the yet-to-be announced results.

HYDERABAD: Even nine months after appearing for the mains examination for sub-inspector (civil) recruitment, 32,000 candidates are still clueless regarding the yet-to-be announced results. On Friday the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board released the SI (Communication) results.
The exam notification was released in Feb 2016 and the mains were conducted later in Nov. Speaking to Express, chairman of the Board J Purna Chandar Rao said, “We are on the job. Results will be soon uploaded and you will be notified.”

Ordeal of candidates: “We have no idea as to when would the result will be announced or what is causing the delay. We demand TSLPRB to give an explanation for the delay and give an exact date when the result would be announced,” said Manavata Roy of the Unemployed JAC.SI aspirants, many of whom are from rural areas, economically backward sections or have quit jobs in hope of clinching a government job are the worst hit.

Unique Dharna: In July, the aspirants had staged protests in front of DGP’s office. They were detained at the police station the whole day. On Friday, they staged a unique protest near Arts College in OU, where nearly 30 participants did sit ups. “The protest shows that when government makes mistake, it’s the common people who are punished,” said Roy.
