HYDERABAD: Taking up irrigation minister T Harish Rao’s challenge for holding a debate on the land scams during the regimes of Congress and TRS, Congress on Friday dared Harish to order a CBI probe on the land dealings done during the rule of Congress as well as present TRS regime in the state.
“We are ready for a debate as well as a CBI probe into the land irregularities that took place during our regime as well as your’s. Is the TRS government ready to order a CBI probe into the Miyapur Land Scam?” Congress leaders- Mohammed Ali Shabbir, V Hanumantha Rao, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar, said, separately.
Interacting with reporters at CLP office on Friday, Mohammed Ali Shabbir said it had become a habit of TRS leaders to put the blame on previous Congress government for the “failures of state government.”
“We will give full evidence with regard to involvement of TRS leaders in the Miyapur land scam to the CBI,” he said.
SC grants bail to two in land scam
Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to PS Parthasarathy, director of Trinity Infra Ventures Ltd, and PVS Sharma, director of Gold Stone company, both accused in Miyapur land registration scam. After the HC dismissed their bail petitions, they moved the SC contending that the alleged act of illegal registrations has not caused loss to the government and in such circumstances continuing them in judicial custody will be unjust.
