WARANGAL: Close on the heels of suspension of a state-run Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus conductor attached to Nizamabad bus depot for posting critical comments against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his administration on social media, the police on Wednesday arrested  two youths belonging to Mandapalley village in Duggondi mandal of Warangal rural district for uploading a video abusing chief minister on Facebook.

The accused have been identified as P Bhaskar and Rajesh.  They were arrested based on a complaint lodged by TRS Duggondi mandal  president Akula Srinivas. According to police, Bhaskar abused the chief  minister in a video recorded by Rajesh and uploaded in Bhaskar’s  Facebook account on October 30.  The  video went viral on social media and when it came to the notice of Akula Srinivas, he lodged a complaint against them.

The police registerd cases against the duo under Section 504 of IPC  and 57 IT Act and arrested them.
“They never thought that they would land in trouble for uploading the video. They just wanted some publicity,’’ police said.
